    • Sadly I wouldn’t be able to pay you what you’re worth, but I’m happy you like the work! 🙂

  4. If the first chapter is any indication of the qualify of the remainder, get this published. I’ll be the first to reserve it on amazon. Well done!

  5. Psychediver, would you be able to launch a Kickstarter or something to get a printed version of this? Or would you still need Bungie to “green light” it?

  8. I was originally going to wait to finish the series before fully commenting, but chapters 16, 17, and 18 have spurred me to share my thoughts.

The best praise I can give is that you truly “get” Destiny and do well at writing inside the bounds of its universe. Each story is simple, but effective. You use existing canon well, and when you start to create your own, you do so with skill and subtlety. You take no implausible liberties with the existing fiction and that really sells the stories you have written. The three tales in the Last City following the lives of each class member were fantastic. They deliciously expanded the lore, developed the characters, and, most importantly, fit so well into the universe that I’m going to have a hard time convincing myself that the Titan singing ritual isn’t actual canon.

I’m looking forward to finishing and adding to this comment when I do.

    • I’m glad you’re enjoying it so much! Honestly the more granular the feedback, the better. Don’t feel you need to hold back, even if it’s on a per-chapter basis.

The extrapolation was made possible through careful study of the grimoire. Bungie created an awesome world and it was easy to fill in some creative gaps.

Building the characters as actual people was very important to me. I wanted to make them as multidimensional as possible. A rule for myself was that the story could never come down to who had the bigger gun, and the characters could never manifest as simplistic.

  9. OMG, Im speechless…. I dont know what to say. I just finished reading it, and I can’t say a thing. The character development, the sacrifice, everything. This needs to be a novel, ill be the first in line to purchase it. It breaks my heart to hear about Sweden’s sacrifice. I loved Solas. LOVE LOVED THIS. Thanks for this amazing contribution to the community

    • I’m glad you liked it so much! Chances are I won’t be able to publish as Bungie would likely Sue me into oblivion, but I am in the process of editing for off-line versions so stay tuned to the blog!

  10. Hi! My children want to read your story. Is there any adult content that wouldn’t be appropriate for under 18? I see there are rave reviews and I think they will love this. Just wanted to check first. Thanks.

    • Hi Jen! Good on you for asking. Sadly yes there is some mature content, generally nudity and sexuality, but nothing terribly explicit or graphic. If you’d like, I can tell you which chapters contain this content and you can check them out for yourself.

  11. I am a very picky reader and extremely harsh in my options twords writting styles.(I am a snob and don’t care) This is an amazing read so far. Your environment descriptions are meaty but not over done and annoying and the same goes for your main character introductions. Thank you so much for being brave and not only writting but sharing. I wish I had found your work sooner.

    • Thanks for taking the time to comment! I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Oddly it’s the first three chapters that I have the least confidence in because they do little to introduce any plot.
